Cut and Paste from Photoshop Elements 2

In Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 I do the following:

Open a pic
Select All
Copy

Then I open MS Publisher 2003

Open a blank page
paste
Immediately, on the Start taskbar my Adobe Photoshop
Elements 2 button disappears
the pic comes into Publisher 2003 the size of a pin head
and has to be expanded

If I minimize Publisher 2003 - Adobe Photoshop has
disappeared, like it is closed.

If I do a ctrl alt delete only Publisher 2003 is listed
as a application - Under Processes I can find Adobe
Photoshop Elements and end the process.

Then I have control of my programs again.

I just have spent 55 minutes on the phone with Adobe and
they insist it is not their problem.

I have also tried the same pic, cutting and pasting,
using JASC Paint Shop Pro and it acts normal. It will
cut and paste the pic without loosing the program as it
does with Adobe.

Any suggestions?

Well copying and pasting from one program to another and causing the issue
you describe is unknown.

Adobe software while having powerful functions is certainly not what you
would call a masterpiece of quality programming.

I would suggest you export the file from Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 as a PNG
and then import the PNG into Publisher.
