Cutting and pasting text fields

I've created several templates that use text fields. The staffer that wanted
them is now happy. :)

Today she inquired about cutting and pasting from text fields. If she clicks
on the text field it highlights everything; all she needs is certain
sentences highlighted so she can copy them. Is this possible? I've tried
several things, I cannot get Word to do this.

Her system has Word 97, mine has Word 2002.

It depends what you want to do. If the template allows you to choose among
different AutoText entries, for example (with AutoTextList fields), or if
the fields are ASK or FILLIN fields or form fields, then you can't unlink
them in the template, or it won't work. If they're IncludeText fields, you
could unlink them, but that would rather defeat the purpose since (a) it
would increase the size of the template and (b) prevent you from updating
it. I'm guessing this is something you want to teach users to do.
