I mentioned this in another thread regarding converting ppt to video and
then burning video files (wmv or mpeg) to DVD.
While I use Ulead DVD MovieFactory 3 SE for both PPT static slide
storyboarding with very nice results and also same app. to convert WMV
captured PPT presentations to DVD, I am also trying out CyberLink
PowerProducer Gold as another authoring tool. The retail version has DivX
encoder for small video exporting which may be of interest also (for
emailing small videos to be played in WMP recipients).
Anyway, I had tons of problems (discussed in alternate thread in this group)
with window hangs with CyberLink PowerProducer Gold 2.
After much nashing of teeth and too many wasted hours, here is the fix:
OS: XP Pro sp2 fully patched Dell Latitude C800 850 MHz 512 M Ram
- hangs if using IE 7 beta (therefore must use IE 6)
- set the Compatibilty mode of PowerProducer as "Windows 2000" (removed hang
of Import/Capture content window)
PowerProducer 2 Gold has a very well thought out and clean UI and I'm
impressed with how the information about different formats is presented
(DVD, VCD, SVCD, DVD-VR, DixX etc..)
