I am unable to access a folder in my inbox. Ive tried to use the scanpst
utility but it stops and says i need to run scandisk utility. When i run it i
get to stage 4 it stalls. I dont know what to do from here. Is there another
way to repair this folder? The exact error is "Unable to Display Folder. The
File C:...........oulook.pst could not be accessed. Data Error (cyclic
redundancy check)" Any help would be aprreciated.

Open a command prompt and use checkdisk (chkdsk) instead.

Cyclic redundancy errors usually refer to a failing harddisk. You might see
more disk errors in the System log of your Event Viewer or use a S.M.A.R.T.
utility to check the fitness of the harddisk (if it supports this).
