How can I run a looped Powerpoint Presentation at certain times of the
day. Is there a timing facility??

Hi Slyvia

My aunt's name is Sylvia - for some reason it's always been a favorite
name for me. For some reason it reminds me of beautiful flowers.

Anyway. Looping a presentation is easy. Visit the Slide Show menu and
then choose Set Up Show. A Set Up Show dialog box opens, where you can
choose from various options including Loop continuously until the Escape
key is pressed.

To run the presentation at specified times you'll need to create an
AppleScript to open the presentation. I used to have a very simple
script example that in just a line or two will open a sepcified file at
a particular time, but I can't find it right now (really - I did look).
Someone will hopefully chime in with a little Applescript for this
purpose.

You can use the System Preferences > Energy Saver > Schedule to tell
your Mac to start up at a specified time so that it will be up and
running at a particular day and time.
