Hi,

I just rebuilt-my Entourage 2004 mail database 3 times and I continue to
get an error report stating that the database is damaged. Any
suggestions?

Hi again,

Update: Just ran an integrity check and the DB utility now says all is
well and my rebuilt and compacted DB is okay. Here's the killer: Each
time I add my Exchange account to Entourage 2004, the DB utility always
says my mail database is corrupted--what can be done? I need to keep a
copy of my work mail local on my iBook. Is it possible that it is a
known issue for the DB utility to indicate a database as corrupt when
some of the mail comes from an Exchange account?

I've not heard of that happening, but to check it out, you could create a
new identity and then set up the account on that one - is it then flagged as
corrupt?

You can transfer the stuff from one identity to the other by using the
'export to entourage archive' feature built into office 2004.

Hi Barry,

I'll try that. Also, not sure if you saw my other post, but somebody
also suggested that what might be causing my Entourage 2004 to crash is
that the mail on our Exchange server is corrupt in such a way that the
DB utility is flagging it and it is also causing Entourage 2004 to
crash. Will try your idea too so as to find the cause of all my woes!
