I have a damaged Word file from which I would like to
recover the formatting as well as the text. Are there any
utilities that might help?

Well, I've had some success ont he past opening the files with other
applications that suppoerted .doc files and copying and pasting to a new
document. You can try with AppleWorks or TexEdit (if you have MacOS X
10.3).
I've been told that the Windows version of Word does a better job at
recovering corrupted Word documents.

Hi Corentin:

Yes, Windows Word 2002 and Windows Word 2003 are MUCH more capable of
recovering damaged documents.

Cheers
