I reloaded my hard disk with the same software as was installed before it
crashed - XP-home, Office 2000 Professional. I now find that Access 2000
displays a message in the Tool|References|Available References dialog which
says "MISSING: Microsoft DAO 3.5 Object Library". As a result, none of my
databases (written under Access 2000 running on XP-home) work! In the
directory "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO" are the
following files DAO35.AW, DAO35.CNT, dao35.GID, DAO35.HLP, DAO350.DLL,
dao360.dll, DAO2535.TLB but Access does not seem able to see them. Any
suggestions other than "re-write your databases under ADO"
