Data->Advanced Filter: Functionality Changed between v.X and 2008

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

I have a multi-sheet Excel workbook which when I use the Data->Advanced Filter command works as expected under v.X but fails under 2008. Is this a known bug? I can supply the workbook if anyone would like to confirm the problem.

It's not a bug I heard of. What does "fails under 2008" mean?
