Hi there,

in the deliverables cube I find the the

- tasks consuming deliverable
- tasks providing deliverable

Has anyone an idea what it means?

Best regards

Hello Michael,

If you created a Deliverable (supplied deliverable in one project) and
Dependencies on Deliverable (another project in waiting for the Deliverable)
the first project contains a task which provides a deliverable, the 2nd
project contains a tasks which consumes the deliverable.

Hope this helps,

Hello Gérard,

I do understand the deliverables functionality. In these fields, there is
only a 1.

What does it mean. If there is for one task a 1 for consuming and providing
deliverable, the task has a deliverable and also a dependency?

Michael,
The Deliverable Type field (you can display it in Project Pro) shows one out
of three values on each row :
- 1 pour Deliverable (supplied)
- 2 pour Dependency (consuming)
- 0 pour normal tasks

A task can have only one such static link. If you try to add 2 links on the
same task or milestone, you will get the message : The selected task is
already linked to another deliverable.

Hello Gérard,

I think we talk about different things:
I don't use Microsoft Project pro. I use the OLAP cube - data analysis.

In the Deliverables Cube I can find the fields

- tasks consuming deliverable
- tasks providing deliverable

What are they for? The sometimes show a "1"

Cheers

Michael,

In the OLAP Cube :
Tasks Providing Deliverable : is the number of tasks providing a deliverable
in the selected project. If you have the Deliverable List on the left, you
always have the number 1
Tasks Consumming Deliverable : is the number of tasks in some other
projects, waiting for this Deliverable.

Hope this helps,
