Data analysis thru forms authentication

Hi all,

I have some users accessing PWA thru Forms Authentication since they are on
another domain.

When they try to access Data Analysis they get the message...

The query could not be processed: Either the user, domain\userid, does not
have access to the "analysis service database" database, or the database does
not exist..."

if they log on to the domain thru a VPN the message changes...

An error was encountered in the transport layer.

Where can I set a user and SQL rights for these Forms users to be able to
access the db (preferably without the VPN needed)?

AFAIK, Analysis Services only supports windows authentication. Users view DA
views under their own security context and therefore need an associated AD
account with read permissions on the cube.

try adding "all users" or "everyone" to the AS user role.
