Data Execution Prevention Prevents Banner Ad Manager from Running

R

RoyGlen

When someone with IE 8.0 attempts to go to a website that includes Banner Ad
Manager, they get an error message that Data Execution Prevention has closed
IE to protect against Viruses and damage.

Do we need to get another ad manager or is there something that we can
change in the coding to allow this to work.

Sample http://www.timseymorecustomhomes.com

I don't get that error, but others that have Java disabled may be getting it
because you're using Java for something.

It's been a long time since hover buttons, the banner ad manager and Java
were brought up, but the general reply is not to use a Java-Based
application. Many, if not most, computers do not come with Java installed,
many people don't install it, and many disable it except for use for
specific needs, such as games.

Thanks anyway David B.

This is definitely not SPAM and as it turns out it is a Frontpage and Java
issue. Sorry that I didn't write it better for you. I was merely looking
for help and not trying to impress anyone.

Thanks Tom,

I appreciate your reply. Obviously we are not programmers or we probably
would have built this site much better. FrontPage with some of its old apps
gave us a quick and easy way to build our site. I will try to come up with a
picture rotator that is not Java based.
