Data File Management: Error locating

E

Eric H

I was trying to change my Outlook password but when I clicked on Data File
Management, I get the error message "There was an error locating one of the
items needed to complete this operation. It might have been deleted."

When the Outlook Data Files box opens, there are no files listed. The only
active button is "Add." However, I can find my .pst file in "C:\Documents
and Settings\myname\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook."

How can I resolve this so I can change my password?

Outlook doesn't have a password. PSTS can have passwords, and your accounts
can have passwords. What password are you trying to change?

I'd start with a new mail profile.

I set an access password when Outlook first loads my data. I want to change
it, thus the problem.

Exactly how did you set this "access password" originally?
