data from two cells into one

Hi. Many thanks for such great help in the past. I want
the data from one cell (which is a number between 1 and
10, which changes according to other inputs) and a code
from another cell (ie text string, eg "cl" or "dll", also
dependent on other inputs) to come together in the same
cell, so that I get, for instance, "5dll" or "3cl". If
the number is in A1 and the code in B1, what do I put in
C1 that brings them together. Very grateful for
suggestions.
