data only shows in a Table column when record field is clicked on

Ver: Ms Access 2000; Object: Table
Data fields: General Number w/2 decimal places

Added 3 new fields to an existing Table and entered numeric data via a form
into those fields. When I view the Table containing the data, those 3 new
columns are blank until I click in any record field, then the data shows. As
soon as I click in another record field, the data disappears.

Arvin,
Thank you very much but that didn't work. I checked the Table field
Properties in Design View and the 3 fields (all are Number) are the same
(except for the # of decimal places) as another same-Table field (Hours) that
does shows data without having to click in any line of the Hours column.

I would have thought that those symptoms were a sign of corruption.
Importing into a new database (not copy and paste, but actually importing
the tables) would have cleared that up. If corruption is not the cause, I'm
not sure of the next step, since I've not seen that behavior before.
