i made a mail merge and data source yesterday, today i went back in to
merge and it says cannot merge because the data source is a main documentFirst, we need to know which version of Word you're using?
Then, when you open the main merge document you made yesterday, do you get
an error message? If yes, what does it say - EXACTLY?
If that's not it, exactly when are you getting the message? And please tell
us exactly what it says. I think I recognize what you're describing, but
I'm just not 100% sure... especially without knowing which version of Word
is involved. And I don't want to confuse you even more
