Data types in Visio

ASD

Hi,

I use isio Enterprise Architect to project and generate databases.

Fist of all I would like someone to point me to a resource on the web
that explains in detail the different data types and if possible for
Visio (since Vision has many datatypes for different databases, and
somethimes defining numbers is not the same like I would use the
Access design view or the Enterprise Manager in MS SQL). I admit that
sometimes I am like blind when defining the datatypes and later on I
am paying a mistace by getting this error:

MERANT][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket][Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server
Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.
Or worse.

Now I have a problem of this kind but this time I chose the LONGTEXT
datatype in Visio and generated the datbase on MS SQL server. The
column type in MS SQL is "TEXT". My question is if I want to insert a
Really long text into a filed how should I define the field type in
Visio?

Thanks!!
