I have a range in my Excel spreadsheet where the user can enter data.
This range is V23:S28. For each row, I want to stop them from enterin
data in the corresponding row for this range when a required field i
column B has not been entered. For example, if a user enters a valu
in V23 and cell B23 is blank, then I want to issue a warning messag
and not allow the data to be entered. Is there a way to do this usin
data validation

Select cells S23:V28
Choose Data>Validation
From the Allow dropdown, choose Custom
In the formula box type: =$B23<>""
Remove the check mark from Ignore blank
You can add an Input message, or Error Alert
Click OK
