I have a HP notebook that came with installed software on
it. I had to do a new installation of XP over the top of
the existing programme to install missing / corrupted
files that caused broadband problems. On doing so, office
2000 would not load word amd kept asking for the data.msi
file. I unistalled office 2000 and got the msi on
installation. I unistalled it after trying serv1 serv2
packs. Still same problem.
The icon for word is still there even though the
programme does not appear in add / remove programmes. I
can only presume that it was installed by HP in home
affairs folder, as it appears there now.
How do I find and delete it. And how do I get rid of the
data1.msi problem?
