Office 2000 data1.msi

I'm trying to update Office 2000 Pro on a computer running XP.

I keep falling over at the data.msi stage, because the updater seems to have
decided that I am running the premium version and is therefore refusing to
accept my .msi file.

I've also found a data.msi (admin version and standard) on my SP2 disk, but
it's refusing to even show them.

Is there anyway to get the updater to do the Office Pro update, rather than
the premium?

Or is there a place I can download the bloomin file from?

Cheers

See if Office Premium is listed in Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove
Programs. If so, uninstall Office Premium, and re-install Office 2000 Pro
from your CDs. Then the updates should work.

As far as I know you will need the Office 2000 Premium install CD's to uninstall
that particular Office Suite. if that (Office 2000 Premium ) is what is showing as
installed then that is the version of Office that is installed at this time.
