I am trying to change the association for a form created in FrontPage from the database created in the website "fpdb" folder to an external database. Can I do this and if so how

you'd have to set the form properties to a "custom handler" which you'd have
to write or have written. the handler will read the form's input and insert
it into the database.
what do you mean by "external database"?

The easiest way is to create or have the host create a System DSN, then in FP under Tools | Web /
Site settings | Database you create a connection to the System DSN. You can give it the same name as
the one FP gave it under the fpdb folder.
