Database/Form Help

I've created a datase/form using the wizard. It's linked
to the server. When the information is completed on the
form and you select 'submit', I am suppose to receive an
email confirmation, but instead, a page error appears and
the information that was submitted on the form is not in
stored in the database. What step did I miss? I've
checked all of the properties and everything looks okay
to me.

Hi Joy,

That is because the FP component that sends to email cannot be used with the
send to database component. The former requires a page with the .htm
extension and the later requires a page with the .asp extension. If you
right click your form and select form properties and then select the send to
database option, you will note that when you save the page FP prompts you to
save it as a .asp if it isn't already.

If you have FP2000 Server Extensions, then the following will work:
http://www.frontpagehowto.com/dbandemail.htm

Otherwise you will have to do something along these lines:
http://www.frontpagehowto.com/cdonts.htm
