HELP My form won't 'submit' to my database file.

Please could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I created a form that is
suppose to transfer the information to a database. When you click submit the
form resets itself and nothing goes to the database. Could anyone check out
my page and see why i'm having so much trouble? It would be very much
appreciated. Thank you for your help. The site is:

(I also created the page with the asp extension and that didn't help either.)

Three things:

First: the form page needs an asp extension.
Second: the form must be http published to a server running the FrontPage
extensions and that supports asp.
Third, and most important, the server must be a Windows server - your
server is Unix.

You cannot use the Database wizards with a Unix server. For Unix you will
have to use PHP and mySQL for the database.

Thanks Ronx, that helps alot. So this page will go over to my clients site
so how do I tell if its on a Unix server? The site is
http://www.angieandco.net/.

I'm having some other problems also on my gallery page; could that be
attributed to Unix also?

Thanks again for your help.

The site http://www.angieandco.net/ is running on Unix, but does have
FrontPage extensions.

In the page http://www.angieandco.net/_vti_inf.html

FPShtmlScriptUrl="_vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_rpc"

indicates the server is Unix - a Windows server will have shtml.dll
instead of shtml.exe

For a site without FrontPage extensions you can tell by inspecting the HTTP
headers (I use the developer toolbar in FireFox for this) which will
usually state the server type - IIS is Windows, Apache is Unix.

Actually I thought the scrolling was in an acceptable range...although I do
have my monitor positioned on its side. :)

After posting that, I realized that it *is* a Window Covering site!

So, maybe that is acceptable afterall? Heh...

Hi Susan,

There might be more than one reason for the with and scrolling..but one
thing that satands out immediately is the banner:

letterhead-horiz.jpg

That is 1500 pixels wide. If you want to design for looking good at 800 x
600 resolutions you should probably shrink that down to about ~760 pixels in
width.

The marquee is probably adding to the problem as well.
