database is read only

I saved a file to a CD and when I try to open it on another computer is says
Read-Only and I want to make changes on that computer. I tried unchecking
the Read Only box and it says there is an error and it won't change.

Are you saying that, if you copy the file from the CD to the hard disk, you
can't change the Read Only attribute for the file *on the hard disk*? I
wouldn't expect you to be able to change it on the CD.
