Database opens Read-Only

I have been working with the same database for over a
year and all of a sudden it will only open in Read Only.
Any suggestions? I have checked the properties of the
file and according to what I see I have access to edit
etc.

Try deleting the .ldb file with the same name. Access might think a copy is
already open and under these conditions it opens the second copy read-only.

Also make sure you are only opening one copy.
