Database out of memory

Dear All,

I am confused about a database scenario a colleague is experiencing.

Person A is entering a simple database (no code - one form and one table) in
non-exclusive mode.

Person B opens the database in non exclusive mode (but under file
permissions this user has read only access to the database but read/write
access to the folder). When Person B is in the database Person A cannot leave
the database and gets the error "Out of memory". It is only when Person B is
out of the database that Person A can leave it. I'm not sure who has enterd
the database first.

As far as I am concerned whilst Person B is in the database Person A can
undertake all the usual database functions, it is only if they try to leave
that this "Out of Memory" message appears.

Can someone please advise me why is this?

Thanks again...
