database properties

Using office 2k and windows XP
with a secure database. Logging in as admin I got
"unable to save database properties" in both the FE & BE
When I ran Access 2003 on same computer and open same FE, I could change
the properties.
When I went back to 2K both FE & BE properties can now be changed.

My problem is solved, but it was a strange way of doing it.

Thanks for letting us know Bob. I bet you won't be the last person to get
this weird happening. I guess the db was created in (or converted from)
Acc2003.
I would say that Access should take a lesson from Excel and Word on backward
compatability but having run into Office 2007's files I take back that
compliment!

Actually the db was origionaly done in access 97, then coverted to 2K & now
modified to run under 2003. I have not actually converted db to 2003,
because people are still using 2K. But now I have 2007 on the horizon.:)
