Database Question

I have a page on my web site for members to sign their info up so that we
can keep in touch for any upcoming reunions.

I've tried to have it saved in a Access file but my server does'nt allow
"Global.asa" or member.asp files ,,is there anyway that i can get the
information into a form other than text or html? All the ways that FP '03
allows in text and html comes across as one big rambling mess into my
database and makes it hard as hell to figure out who's info is who's.

Is there anyother way to get this info into a readable form?? Oh i've
tried xml as well , but the server doesn't support this either it seems.

Thanks,,,

Oh one other thing ,, is there a way that i could have them fill the form
out ,,all the very personal stuff like address email phone go straight
into the database along with name grad year etc. but still allow the
Names and grad year to show on a separate page??? I hope i'm making my
intent clear ,,this is all new to me.

Thanks again to all
Gord

It sounds as if your host does not support ASP or Access. Discover what
they do support - PHP and mySQL perhaps? - and build the database with
that.

The only alternative, if the host supports FrontPage extensions, is to use
comma (or tab) separated values files for storing results in the web, and
importing these into your local copy of the database. Locally, you can
create/update pages generated from Access formatted as you wish.

I do believe it is PhP and mySql ,,,if so where can i learn or what
program do i build a workable database for this type.

Thanks for all your help.
