I have tried to rebuild the database 4 times. It gets to step 5 and then freezes. I can not open Entourage until I rebuild the database. I am running Office 2008, latest installed update is 12.1.5.

What are my options? I am not an engineer so please make your answers relatively easy to follow :)

Help, help, help!

Move or rename your Identity so Entourage will open with a new blank
Identity. Enter your Exchange account and let Entourage sync back up.

Do you have other info in the folders "On My Computer" or in the Entourage
Address Book? Do you have other POP or IMAP accounts?

Hmmm! There are a number of posts on this. I'd review them for a going
forward strategy. You'll need to follow Diane's recommendations in
your particular situation. However, there is a known rebuild issue. If
you phone Microsoft support they won't be able to fix this. Your case
will be closed but you can re-activate it anytime. Ask that this be
submitted into their reporting system as a serious problem.
