database splitter

Need help.
I have splitted my database successfully, but when someone try to use the
program it won't let them select anything. Can anyone tell me why is this if
the database was split successfully? thanks

When they first open the program they come to a Sign On form where they
select their name from a combo box then enter a password and after they do
that they select a project (from a list box) they want to view or edit. But
the program is not allowing them to select their name and project.
I think I know why now. The back end of the program was stored in a folder
that not everybody have rights to, so I stored the back end in a folder that
everybody in the office have rights. But now when they make a change to a
project a message appears saying:
"You do not have exclusive access to the database at this time. If you
proceed to make changes you may not be able to save them later"
But the program is saving changes.

Thank you

What do you mean? Having Shortcuts or Copy and paste the front end to
everybody's computer?
Thanks

Is this safe to do? Would this still have the back end updated with all the
data enty by each user?
If everyone has a copy in their PC the message:
"You do not have exclusive access to the database at this time. If you
proceed to make changes you may not be able to save them later"
Won't appear anymore, right?

We are trying that right now. It seems to be working fine. Thanks a lot for
your help. Now I have another question. Why reports to be print out don't
keep or save the page set up I've already set. Each user seems to be having
to set it up all the time even though I have done that on design view before
splitting the database.

Thank you again.
