Database window partially hidden

Tom Smith

For some reason, the Database Window in one of my
databases has decided to move to the top of the Access
window in such a way as to hide the Database Window Menu
Bar underneath the overall toolbars and Access title bar.

Moving the toolbars does not help. The Database Window
moves up as I close or move tool bars. Changing the
window size or shape does not help, nor does maximizing
or minimizing the Access window. Changing screen
resolutions does not change the behavior. Turning the
Database Window display on and off doesn't help.

Is there a registry entry or something that tells Access
where to open that window, and how can I get to it? Any
other suggestions? It's starting to tick me off...

Thanks

Tom

While the database window has focus, try:
Alt - (Hold down Alt, and hit the hypen key)
M (for Move)
Down (hit the down arrow repeatedly)
Enter (to accept the new location).

Alt+Hypen drops the control box for the active child window.

Good call. Did the trick, and I learned something about
Windows I didn't know. Thanks for your help.
