DATE = 1ST OF MTH

I need a date formula that will insert the date as the
1st of what ever month it is, i.e. in Feb, no matter what
the date is ,it would return 2/1/2004. In Mar it would
always be 3/1/2004.

Any help is appreciated.

=DATE(YEAR(NOW()),MONTH(NOW()),1)
