date calculation

How can I could number of dates from an inputted date and omit Saturday and
Sunday while counting?

Take a look in the Date/Time section of "The Access Web"

There are a couple of different alternatives there.

I looked out there and could not find anything. Here's more detail:
Date entered: 1/1/06
Number of days: (entered manuall) 20
Date Result: (this is minus Saturday and Sunday) in other words, what is
the date from 1/1/06 + 20 days - weekends?

VBA", specifically the function "dhAddWorkDaysA" (although you require all
of the code on that page)
