How do I convert dates from Excel 2007 for Windows to Macintosh dates? Since they are 4 years off based on different starting dates (1904 for Mac, 1900 for Windows), I had thought there might be an automatic conversion when opening a spreadsheet created in Windows, or at least some kind of conversion function to correct the dates.

There is an automatic conversion. Look in Excel preferences under
calculations and uncheck 1904 date system.
