Hi, all

I´m working with PS 2007, SQ 200, all SP in both of them.... I create a
field (datefield) Birthday..was define like a date field, when I try to add
data in this field..I can´t ...show this message:

The value for the custom field is not a valid date, or it is outside the
range for dates, which is January 1, 1984 through December 31, 2049.

What can I do to solve this issue???

How are you entering the data? Is it a valid date? Is it in the same format
as specified in Tools menu / options / view tab? Is it between the allowable
dates?

Juan,

I have seen this before, Can you check that you have all SP, Infrastructure
update and Cumulative updates installed. I believe that was a bug prior to
SP1?
Let me know if you have all of the SPs installed on the client
thanks

Hi Marc

All update are installed, in MSProject Pro I saw the same limitation, I
create a date field, and only accept date after 01/01/1984...I need to
introduce dates before 01/01/1984...I think that is a Project limitation,
some help? In PWA directly over the server have the same problem.....I don´t
know what to do....

You cannot use dates early than January 1, 1984 or later than December 31,
2049. This is all of known time according to Microsoft Project. I don't
think that you will ever see the product accept dates earlier than this, but
I certainly hope that the next version gives us some more on the back end.
Isn't it nice to know that time ends after 2049? How may people have this
advantage?<g>
