in the XL preferences, i hv set the date to read as DD/MM/YYYY. hence the date if entered as 26/3/09 .. must read as 26-Mar-2009. but on doing this .. ( i.e. entering 26/3/09, the date will show as thu ... but if i have to have the date to show as 26-Mar-2009 ( as set in the preferences ) , i have enter it as 3/26/09 !!!
