Hi - ive merged a list of dates in Excel into a Word document. Regardless of how i format the date in excel, it transfers to Word as 8/23/2017 - i want it to display as Wed 23 Aug 2017 - as it is displayed in Excel i.e. ddd dd mm yyyy - i thought about trying to convert the dates to "text" in excel (woth copy, paste special as values) cos this i reckon wud work - but couldnt get that right - any suggestions pls?

DDE is the last method I'd use to deal with something like this; it's extremely limited compared to the default OLE DB. All you need do is add the switches as described - a trivial undertaking.
