Hi,

I want to plot a date on the x axis and some data on
the y axis. But when I plot it, I got an error
message:"the maximum number of data points you can use in
2-D.....if u want more than 32,000 datapoint ... create
two or more series". If i click "OK" then my X axis is the
dd/mm/1900 which any relate with my data at all. My data
is not more than 200 for sure. I tried to plot with line
and xy scattering, i got the same result.

Is it possible that my version of excel isn't the same
of my computer? I have excel XP thai version (but i use
english as default and the also set the date and time (on
windows in AD)

thank you

Thank you for replying,

could you please answer me another question?
I wonder that is it possible to plot two data on the same
date graph? I tried the way you said but it turn out that
I couldn't plot two data together (because my data has
different date in each data). I tried to check at "time-
scale" but it turned out that the same problem occured.

thank you again

You'll have to resort to using the more flexible XY Scatter type chart
instead of a Line chart for your second series. Make your chart with
the first series, and fix up the time-scale axis to suit. Add the
second series, and its points line up with the first, even though the
dates are different. Right click on the new series, select Chart Type
from the pop up menu, then choose an XY Scatter type. You can format it
similar to the first series, with or without lines, with or without
markers, whatever. Oh great, there are two sets of axes, not what we
wanted. Right click on the chart, choose Chart Options from the pop up
menu, click on the Axes tab, and uncheck both secondary axes.
