Date Problem

I want the field in a query to display the date: #8/1/Year(date())#
obviously this does not work or I would be using it but you get the idea.

Any thoughts?

Try:

"8/1/" & Year(Date())

in the field cell in the design view right click to properties and then go to
format (long date, short date etc)
