Date/Time Field on Images of Mail merge docs.

Andy

Am using Insert Date/Time to date my mail merge document.

When I save an image to a DIP server of a mail merged
document the date shown on the image of the document is
today's date rather than holding the date the document was
created.
Using Insert Date/Time - if you leave the "Update
Automatically" box unchecked the date does not update to
the current date BUT each time a new mail merge doc is
produced the date the original template was created is
populated on the doc. rather than the new creation date.

I need the date created to default to the correct date and
also when viewing an image of the document I need to see
this date created NOT the date it is being viewed.

Any help gratefully received

Cheers
Andy

If you want to fix the date and have new fixed dates in the new merge
documents, use a CREATEDATE field to set the date in the template/merge
source document and forget all about the insert date function.
