Dates change on local copy of an enterprise project

Hello- I send management a saved local copy of the project plan at the
time we run weekly reports. When some people open the saved project
file, the dates change, sometimes drastically like 10+ years. Why is
this happening and how do I stop it?

Anna --

The date differences arise from the differences between calendars in
Microsoft Project on each manager's PC and those on your Project Server.
The source of your problem, however, is not Microsoft Project. The source
of the problem lies in the methodology you are using by saving enterprise
projects as .mpp files. Why aren't your managers using the Project Center
and detailed Project views in PWA? That is what those tools are meant to do
and would totally eliminate your problem. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Dale-
Thanks. The problem lies in our outside consultants that use Citrix
to access projectsever. The ability to open the plan in MS Project is
removed and not everyone in our organization has MS Project on their
machine. Good to know the correct process as I can use that to "push"
us changing the methodology.
Thanks,
Anna
