Dates don't equal the duration

MS Project 2003: When I change the duration of a task, the dates don't equal
the duration time. If the duration is 3 days, the dates are showing 4 days.
How do I fix this?

Hi,

First,, if you want to observe dates and duration exactly, you will have to
show tiime of day in your dates: Tools, Options, View, select the date
format thet is upmost in the dropdown list
