Dates That Change

B

bob

If I reference a date from a separate workbook, the date often increases by
one day. Example:

Workbook 1, Sheet 1 has 11/1/2006 in A2
Workbook 2, Sheet 1 has the formula, ='[Workbook1.xls]Sheet1'!$A$2
but the result is 11/2/2006.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it?

Thanks,
Bob

I've never known dates to change by one day but they can change by four
years and and one day if you are going between two workbooks one of which is
set to the 1904 date system and the other to 1900.
