Hi All,
I have a database file on our main server, which is accessed via various
spreadsheets and in turn pivot tables. My problem is I have duplicate of the
database sheet in some of the workbooks, the cells are linked by
='M:\FINISHED GOODS STOCK\[DATABASE.xls]STD. DATA'!A6 and replicated through
the sheet cells, the data base size is approximately 26 columns by 850 rows
(475kb) at times when the source file is not open and I scroll through the
data I get errors, spurious data and N/A appear in the sheet, on opening the
database all errors disappear. Do I need a macro or other way to open the
source file and save the result? I do not want to have the database file
open all the time I work on it, as others may need to access it and may have
the same problem. the Database file is passworded to open.
