Dave just one more question

Hey Dave,
Thank you again for those links. How do I know that I can download from
those sites and it will be safe? There are some great ideas on those sights,
how do you know about them? Time? Experience?

Does anyone answer the Application error section on this site? Everytime I
am in a certain workbook the computer locks up on me. I think it may have
something to do with a filtering macro. Know anything?

Sometimes, it's just experience.

But once you've visited the newsgroups a while, you'll know the names of the
regulars (and which sites get pointed to a lot).

Both John Walkenbach and Debra Dalgleish make their living from Excel and
Office. Nowadays, John spends little time in the newsgroups--but there was a
time he was quite active. But his site is pointed at with amazing
regularity--and his books are often recommended.

Debra is still quite active (for a woman of her age!). (Now I'm in trouble!)

I would trust both of these sites--but if you don't want to, open the workbooks
in safe mode (macros off) and review the code before you trust it.

I'm not sure I saw the post about the application error. But when someone
doesn't get a reply, it's usually because no one understands the question, the
question lacks enough details, or it's just too much work for a newsgroup
response.

You may want to find that original message and post a followup.

Dave thinks I'm waaaay older than he is, because he confuses maturity
with age. <g>

What's the difference between men and CDs (certificates of deposits)?

CDs mature.

(I love that joke.)
