day constraint

i have a task that can only start on Friday, any delay of previous
task will move this task to next friday.

Is there a way to make sure that this task will always start on friday?

Hello Lynn,

1) Task starts and finishes on the same Friday
Create a new calendar : Tools / Change Working time / Create new calendar
Name : "Friday working" for ex.
Work Weeks / Details: Monday to thursday set days to non working time / OK
Then, double click on you one day task and in the Adnaced tab, select your
"Friday working" and check the "Scheduling ignores resources calendars"
option.
2) Task starts on Friday morning but can last several days:
Create a new calendar : Tools / Change Working time / Create new calendar
Name : "Friday Start" for ex.
Work Weeks / Details: Monday to thursday set days to non working time.
Friday : Set day to these specific working times: 7:59 - 08:00
OK
Creat a task: Duration 1minute. Mark task as milestone if you want.
Then, double click on you one day task and in the Adnaced tab, select your
"Friday Start" and check the "Scheduling ignores resources calendars"
option.
Set this "milestone" as the predecessor of your task.
