day of the week

I would like to show a date as the day of the week
(Monday, Tuesday....)I do necessarily need it in the same
cell. Is there a function of format in excel to do this?

use the custom format 'DDDD' for this

Assume the date is in cell A1. In cell A2, for example, put the formula:
=A1. Now format cell A2 with Format | Cells... | Number | Custom | "dddd"

Having said that, there is no indication that what she has been given
