DBX Files

My friend has a problem with old emails. Something happened and all the
emails in a few different folders have disappeared. There were 10 folders
created in the Inbox folder. I used a DBX program to open those dbx files
and it says there are no emails there, but the actual DBX file is 32mb.Any
help here? Thanks.

For *.dbx files, file size does not correspond to content. When a
email/message is deleted from a *.dbx file, the file space used is not
recovered until you compact the file. While I am not aware of any, a web
search may return a program that will undelete deleted email/messages in a
*.dbx file.
