I have an old Access 97 application that I cannot retire. I am doing some
maintenance (Report design modification) on it and it get the error message
specified in my subject line when I open the report in design mode.
It also says "The instruction referenced at "0x040d55e3" referenced memory
at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".
There are about 10 reports in this same application where this happens,
about 25 where it doesn't.
I have tried to search for "0x040d55e3" in the KB as suggested in one
similar post, but didn't get any hits.
Nothing has changed to my knowledge on this machine.
It is also happening on two forms in the same application. If I try to
export the report to a blank db, I get a similar error and the export does
not occur. Same with an import using a blank db.
Any ideas?
