Does anyone know if it is possible to de-select a cell after you have selected along with other adjacent or non-adjacent cells??

Many Thanks!

AFAIK, No to both circumstances. Cell selection isn't handled by the same
method as selection of Objects.

If your problem is that you are trying to select a bunch of cells by holding
the apple key and clicking on them and then wish to deselect a cell you
clicked on by mistake, I'm afraid that there is no way to do that. You just
have to start over and be more careful how you click.
